Physical Setup Steps
1- Using the cables provided, connect your motors to the ECM module using slots 1, 2, 3, and 4.
2- Plug the 12V-24V power adapter into the ECM.
3- Establish an ssh connection using Putty. Enter the command /dev/serial/by-path/*
in the terminal.
4- Establish a connection between the ECM's TYPE-C input and the ChromaPad.
5- Enter the command /dev/serial/by-path/*
in the terminal again. Copy the output (/dev/serial/*****
) that wasn't present in the previous query.
PC Steps
6- Using the Mainsail interface, upload ecm.cfg
(github link).
7- In the [mcu ecm]
section, paste the path you copied into the serial:
line.
8- Edit the [tools.c](http://tools.cg)fg
file. An example of how to add new extruders is shown below.

10- Perform a Firmware restart.
