1- Using the cables we provided, connect your motors to the KCM module using slots 1, 2, 3, and 4.
2- Use the 24-pin flat cable to connect the ChromaHead to the KCM.
3- Establish a connection between the KCM and your printer using the USB-A cable.
4- Complete the physical setup by connecting the 24V adapter to the KCM.
PC Steps
1- Connect to your host computer (e.g., rpi, sonic pad, orangepi) via SSH.
2- Type ls /dev/serial/by-path/*
into the terminal to find the physical location of the KCM module.
3- Access the Mainsail interface.
4- Upload kcm.cfg
.
5- Open kcm.cfg
and navigate to the [mcu kcm]
section.
6- Paste the path you found in step 2 into the serial:
field.
7- Edit printer.cfg
and add [include kcm.cfg]
to the first line.
8- In printer.cfg
, delete the sections [extruder]
, [fan]
, and [hotend_fan]
.
9- Click on the firmware_restart
button.
10- Enjoy your colorful printing!
