ΒΆ Changes to be Made in printer.cfg when KCMSet is Installed
- When KCMSet is installed, since the original head of your printer comes out, the commands that work with the head and are connected to it should be commented. The reason for commenting these codes is that if the pins on the original head cards remain active, you will receive an error command. Every feature you commented on has been provided even more with ChromaHead. Every code commented on here is in chroma_head.cfg.
The changes made to the printer.cfg file of the Creality Ender 3 V3 Plus printer, which is compatible with KCMSet, are shown. If you are using another printer, you can see what to comment and what not to comment.
- First, add the downloaded .cfg files for KCMSet to work.
- Nozzle mcu and Leveling features are included in the comment since they are used in the original head.
- The Pr touch feature should be commented on as it will not be active since the original head has been removed.
- Since the filament sensor CX-I will be used, it will not be able to control 4 or 8 colors, so it should be commented to avoid errors.
- Since rpi will be disabled, all lines related to it should be commented out.
- We are commenting on the fan part as it will cause an error.
- We do not comment any of the step lines. (Since sensorless is used for Ender 3 V3 Plus, the endstop pin is opened).
- Since the original head is removed, the Extruder section will not be used, so we comment it out. The new Extruder definition is in chroma_head.cfg.
- Heather_bed will be actively used without any editing.
- As in the second line, since it is related to the nozzle, the entirety should be commented.

- The adxl and resonance lines should be completely commented out. These are for the input shaper. If they are not commented out, they will give an error and will not work.
- The bed_mesh lines should also be commented. Among the cfgs you download for better mesh, there is one we have prepared.
- The Printer line should be left unedited as it specifies limitations of your printer, such as acceleration.
- safe_z_home Sets where ChromaHead should position itself when homing.
