Kickstarter is a launchpad for creators to raise funds for the initial production of their invention. Backers (that's you!) can support the creator by pre-ordering the product at a discounted price.
When you back a project, you’re pre-ordering the product. That means you'll get it once it's produced. Besides getting the product itself, you're also joining a community. Follow along the production process, take part in important surveys and give the creator valuable feedback.
In order to pledge, click that green button that says “Back this project”. You'll get to select your shipping country and choose your desired pledge level and reward.
Your money will be collected only after the project ends on 2 December 2023. If the project is cancelled for any reason, you won't be charged.

ChromaSet is an innovative add-on that pushes the boundaries of 3D printing technology. Many 3D printers are limited to using just one type of filament and often struggle to achieve optimal printing speeds. ChromaSet addresses these challenges, enabling printers not only to print faster and more efficiently but also to work with multiple filament options.
ChromaHead features a well-designed filament exchange mechanism. The primary challenge in multi-filament printing is maintaining consistent stability during filament swaps. To achieve this, filament changes should be executed with simple and definitive steps. Issues arise post-use when the retracted filament tip might swell or unwanted filament strings form due to melting, leading to filament jamming. We've identified many users struggling with multi-filament printing because of this problem. After in-depth analysis, we determined that cutting the filament tip during the exchange was the optimal solution. To accomplish this, we employed a servo motor with a 20kg force capacity and sharp blades. Thus, during filament exchange, the used filament is retracted, and an 8mm segment from its tip is cut. The sliced filament is then advanced to the hotend's tip. After retracting the now straight-tipped old filament, the new filament is introduced. This process gets repeated hundreds of times during multi-filament printing and is executed seamlessly.
ChromaPad enables the connected 3D printer to achieve print speeds of 300mm/s and beyond. Even printers released in 2018, which were originally designed for a regular speed of 50mm/s, can produce a 3D Benchy model in just 25 minutes with speeds of 300mm/s and accelerations of 10,000 mm/s^2. In fact, many current printers have the mechanical capacity to reach speeds of 300mm/s; however, their filament feeding and extrusion capacities often fall short of this benchmark. ChromaPad and ChromaHead address these shortcomings. Additionally, the Input Shaper feature of the Klipper software - a technology designed to counteract vibrations in high-speed prints - ensures that printers not specifically designed for high speeds do not compromise on print quality when operating at these elevated rates.
We've engineered the ChromaPad's processor to maintain its performance without overheating, allowing it to manage up to 8 printers simultaneously. Given the trend that many users now own multiple printers, our aim was to enable them to govern all their printers from a single panel. Within the ChromaScreen software, the "Printers" option has been incorporated. This allows users to swiftly switch between printers, facilitating real-time management of all their devices at once.
ChromaPad is equipped with the capability to connect to both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi networks. This not only facilitates the control of 3D printers via ChromaPad but also allows for remote management through PCs and mobile devices. Enhanced controls can be executed during the printing process with these features. Most classic 3D printer control panels restrict users to limited functionalities with a single button during printing, often necessitating the use of an SD card to load print models. ChromaPad's remote control functionality via WiFi ensures a more seamless interaction with 3D printers for users.
Klipper is a unique 3D printer firmware. It uses a general-purpose computer in tandem with one or more micro-controllers to manage the printing process. For a more detailed understanding, you can visit the official site: [https://www.klipper3d.org/Overview.html].
ChromaPad's software is completely open source. This means that the codebase is freely accessible to the public, allowing users, developers, and enthusiasts to study, modify, and improve upon it. Adopting an open-source approach fosters a collaborative environment and encourages community-driven enhancements, ensuring the software remains robust, up-to-date, and aligned with users' evolving needs. Open source also offers transparency, enabling users to have a deeper understanding and trust in the software's workings. If you're interested in exploring or contributing to the code, you can access the repository and join our community of developers and users. [https://github.com/coprint/ChromaScreen]
You can visit this website to find the answer to this question more easily. The ChromaSet product family is designed to be compatible with a wide variety of 3D printers. To delve deeper into ChromaSet's compatibility, we should categorize 3D printers into two main headings: Printers without Klipper Software and Printers with Klipper Software. For printers without Klipper Software, their compatibility depends on the control boards they use. Control boards of 3D printers in this category typically utilize processors from STM and Atmega brands. Klipper Software is compatible with these processors. Thus, ChromaSet products are compatible with 3D printers whose control board processors can run Klipper Software. Most 3D printers in use today are suitable for Klipper Software, meaning that ChromaSet products are compatible with many 3D printers. For more information on which processors Klipper Software is compatible with, you can visit [https://www.klipper3d.org/Bootloaders.html]. On the other hand, 3D printers that already have Klipper Software are entirely compatible with ChromaSet products.

ChromaPad can manage both extruders and the printing head through slots on its back, supporting up to four filaments natively. Paired with the ChromaHead and 4 CX-1 Extruder, it ensures high-quality multi-filament 3d prints. For larger projects, its capacity can be expanded to 20 colors using the "Extended Chroma Module (ECM)" USB connections.
