This guide explains how to install the input shaper module. It will be explained via ChromaPad, but the process is the same in KCMSet. You need to attach the input shaper module to the printer and set its path in the same way.
Plug the type-c cable into the Input Shaper module.
In Mainsail, uncomment the "external_input_shaper" line in printer.cfg. Save and exit.
Plug the Input shaper's USB cable into the ChromaPad.
Enter external_input_shaper.cfg. Copy and paste the usb serial path from the devices section in the upper right and exit by save&restart.
Download the print part of the Input Shaper module and print it.
Do not remove the print from the plate!
After the printing is finished, fix the input shaper in place with 4x square nuts and 4x m3x10 screws.
AutoHome the printer.
Type "shaper_calibrate" into the console and press enter.
When the calibration is finished, save it by saying "save config".
After these operations, we enter printer.cfg again and comment out the "external_input_shaper" line. We exit by save&restart.
You can remove the input shaper module from the plate and disconnect the USB cable.
