Ramming is a movement that happens before filament retraction(filament change). Increasing the volumetric speed will cause more pressure inside of the nozzle and this pressure will provide a cleaner tip on the filament while retracting. Increasing the Total ramming time will divide the pressure time and this will prevent an excessive amount of deformation on the nozzle. This setting indicates the distance between the nozzle and the cooling tube. The cooling movement will start from that position. The Co Print cooling tube is the blue PTFE tube that comes with Co Print. This value will retract the filament through the cooling tube, this distance should be away from the nozzle to provide a cooler ambient temperature for the filament. Increasing this value will cause too much retraction and cooling movements will happen at the wrong place and can cause blockage inside the PTFE. Keep in mind that these settings are experimental and changing them can cause failure as well as success. For Co Print recommended value is 23 mm since the cooling tube is 100mm in length. If this tube’s length will increases this value should be increased as the amount of difference between the 100 mm length of the tube and the new tube’s length. The same process must be applied if the PTFE tube’s length decreases.
This value indicates the retracting amount of the filament after filament change movement ends. If this value will be less than required then the filaments will stick inside of the 7 in1 module. For Co Print recommended value is 85 mm since the cooling tube is 100mm in length. If the length of the PTFE tube increases then this value must be increased as the amount of increment in the tube length.
This value indicates the extra distance of the loading filament. After filament retraction, the new filament will be driven to the nozzle tip. If this value is greater than zero this means, that amount of filament will be loaded more through the nozzle. This can cause a blob on the print or the print table. For Co Print recommended value is 0.
